Murry N. Gunty is an American entrepreneur, investor, and sports-operations executive. He is the founder of Blackstreet Capital Holdings, a private holding company, and Black Bear Sports Group, a sports management company focused on ice arenas, youth hockey, and community access to ice sports.

Gunty founded Black Bear in 2015 and served as CEO until 2026, when Kevin Kuby was named his successor. Under his leadership, Black Bear grew from its initial rink operations into a national ice-sports platform.

Earlier in his career, Gunty held roles at The Blackstone Group, Lazard Frères Real Estate, and Jacobson Partners. He holds an A.B. in economics from Harvard College and an M.B.A. from Harvard Business School.

A lifelong hockey player who grew up in Portland, Maine, Gunty's work with Black Bear reflects his long-standing connection to the sport.
